Sarah Zemore, Ph.D. Background Information and Areas of Research szemore@arg.org
Dr. Sarah Zemore, Scientist, completed her doctorate in Social Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests revolve primarily around treatment seeking and treatment outcomes, with special focus on social-cognitive models and methodology. Her work at ARG has examined acculturation and alcohol use among Latinos in the U.S. and the roles of Alcoholics Anonymous, peer helping, and spirituality in recovery. She has also explored applications of the Theory of Planned Behavior (Ajzen, 1985) toward understanding treatment readiness. Selected Publications Zemore, S.E. (2007).
